Why Wyvern's Treasure?
Why a wyvern instead of a dragon?
What is the story behind the name I chose for my workshop?

A fair question. Let me tell you.

Choosing a name is one of the first and most important steps in creating a business. It is through that name—and the identity that grows from it—that people come to recognize your work.

When I first started, I had no clear idea of what I wanted my brand to become.
I didn't want to limit myself to crafting only one type of object, nor did I want to be confined to a single material. My goal was to create as freely as possible, allowing my imagination to be the only limit.
But how could I build a brand around such freedom without losing people along the way?

For a long time, I had no answer. Then one day, inspiration struck.
Not as a logo. Not even as a name. But as an idea.
A treasure.

I wanted anyone who entered my shop—whether at a medieval market or through this website—to feel as though they had stumbled upon a hidden cavern filled with forgotten wonders. Like every treasure hunter before them, they wouldn't know what awaited inside the next chest.

A legendary suit of armor? A goblin bracer? A healing potion? A raven bone?
Anything could be hidden among the treasures.
And that's exactly what makes the adventure so exciting.
The concept was there.

Now I simply needed to decide… whose treasure?

Naturally, my thoughts turned toward dragons.
After all, what better guardian could there be for a legendary treasure hidden deep within a cave? Dragons have always held a special place in my heart, and it seemed only fitting that my workshop would draw inspiration from their legends.

Yet, despite their fame, I never truly identified with the traditional dragon.
Too common. Too imposing. Not subtle enough.
Instead, I have always preferred their lesser-known cousin: the wyvern.

Partly because the wyvern is deeply rooted in Swiss folklore—particularly as a symbol of the Jura—but also because, in many legends, it is portrayed as smaller, swifter, more cunning, and more closely tied to magic than the common dragon.

Ironically, many of the "dragons" we see in modern fantasy are actually wyverns. Smaug, for example, or the dragons of Game of Thrones, both possess the defining characteristics of a wyvern rather than a traditional six-limbed dragon.

For all these reasons, the wyvern has always held a special place in my imagination.

And by combining that symbol with the idea of a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered, Wyvern's Treasure was born.
